Wolf hunt tags selling fast

Would you believe 875 tags per hour? That's how many wolf hunt tags the state of Idaho sold per hour yesterday, for a total of 3,500 by 2 p.m. Doesn't matter how many tags are sold. The hunt stops when 220 wolves are killed, the Idaho Statesman reports. But environmentalists will be in court next week to try to make sure that doesnt' happen. On Aug. 31, both sides have three hours each to make their case in federal court. The hunt is scheduled to begin Sept. 1.

The Missoulian today reports on the history leading up to next week's much anticipated court battle over the wolf hunt.
