The Billings Gazette reports a national "kill-off" of more than 100,000 cows with more to come due to milk profits hitting a 25-year low. So far, Montana farmers aren't killing their cows, but just over the border in Idaho, farmers are being paid 10 cents for every 100 pounds of milk taken out of production via slaughter.
