Key features of the new website include:
In the coming weeks, we will be adding some additional features including audio versions of all stories, language translation to reach broader audiences and vertical videos optimized for social media.
The new website is only one major development in what has been a breakout year for the 15-year-old news nonprofit. InvestigateWest has added six new full-time staffers this year, including a development director, an editor and four additional reporters.
“This is a huge moment for InvestigateWest,” Executive Director Jacob Fries said. “We now have a website worthy of the incredible work that our team is producing on a regular basis. It’s going to allow us to connect with our audience in a variety of new ways, and I’m eternally grateful for the first-rate team of developers at DesertNet who meticulously brought our vision to life.”
